Veterans group points to commitment to curb national debt, honor sacrifices of veterans, military communities
SANTE FE, N.M. — Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Thursday announced its endorsement of Rep. Yvette Herrell for re-election to represent New Mexico’s Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Herrell’s steadfast leadership and dedication to the hardworking people of New Mexico, particularly veterans and military families, is apparent in Washington. Herrell is working to preserve American prosperity now and for future generations by focusing on reining in reckless federal spending, removing bureaucratic barriers for veterans, and holding the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accountable.
CVA Action will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots army—to support Herrell’s re-election to Congress this November.
John Byrnes, CVA Action Advisor, had this to say about the endorsement:
“Congresswoman Herrell has distinguished herself as a principled leader dedicated to securing the freedom and liberty our nation’s veterans have fought and sacrificed to defend. She has proven herself as one of the few leaders in Washington willing to put principle above politics to do the right thing for New Mexico and the United States.
“Rep. Herrell also understands the struggles our nation’s heroes face when they come home after serving their country. That’s why she has always stood for veterans, working to remove bureaucratic barriers to make sure veterans, not politicians, are in charge of when and where they receive their health care.
“New Mexico’s veterans and military families need champions like Yvette Herrell to be their steady voice in turbulent Washington. CVA Action urges New Mexico voters to re-elect Herrell to represent them in Washington. New Mexico and America are better with her leadership.”
CVA Action is dedicated to electing candidates based on their active leadership roles on top policy priorities to improve the lives of our nation’s veterans and all Americans.
