Veterans group points to commitment to reshape foreign policy, honoring sacrifices of veterans, military communities
SALT LAKE CITY—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Thursday announced its endorsement of U.S. Sen. Mike Lee for re-election to represent Utah in the U.S. Senate.
Lee’s steadfast leadership and dedication to Utahns, particularly veterans and military families, is apparent in Washington, working to shape a better American foreign policy, holding the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accountable, focusing on curbing reckless federal spending, and preserving American prosperity now and for future generations.
CVA Action will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots army—to support Lee’s reelection to Congress.
John Byrnes, CVA Action Advisor, had this to say about the endorsement:
“Sen. Lee has distinguished himself as a principled leader dedicated to securing the freedom and liberty our nation’s veterans have fought and sacrificed to defend.
He has proven himself as one of the few leaders in Washington willing to put principle above politics to do the right thing for Utah and the United States. He understands the true cost of endless wars and knows how dangerous outdated Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMFs) are, continuing to put our men and women in uniform in harm’s way. Lee listens to Utahns who believe our nation’s top priorities are here at home, not sending valuable taxpayer dollars to fuel conflicts abroad where America has no vital interests.
