LANSING, Mich. — Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVAA) today announced its endorsement of Rep. Tom Barrett for reelection in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
A 22-year U.S. Army veteran and former helicopter pilot, Barrett has brought his experience in uniform to Congress while championing greater choice and access for veterans. He is an original cosponsor of the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act (TCAVA), a comprehensive legislative package to strengthen veterans’ access to timely care and expand their ability to choose the providers that best meet their needs.
“Tom Barrett understands that service does not end when the uniform comes off,” said CVAA Senior Advisor John Vick. “In Congress, he stood up for veterans who deserve greater choice and control over their health care while supporting policies that expand freedom and opportunity for all Americans. Michigan families can count on Tom to continue bringing the same dedication he showed in service to his work in Washington.”
BACKGROUND
CVA Action will mobilize its grassroots network to support his reelection, including outreach to veterans, military families, and voters across Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
