Largest veterans’ grassroots election group congratulates Tim Sheehy on U.S. Senate win
MISSOULA, MT – CVA Action congratulates Tim Sheehy on a resounding victory and becoming Montana’s newest member of the U.S. Senate. CVA Action endorsed Sheehy last January.
Throughout the election cycle, CVA Action contacted 878,000 Montanans about the Senate race between Tim Sheehy and Jon Tester. This effort began back in January and CVA Action’s grassroots army of staff and volunteers, including veterans and military families, have been canvassing the state for Sheehy to educate voters on the contrast between career politician Jon Tester and businessman and combat veteran Tim Sheehy.
Upon the race call, Chris Enget, CVA Action Montana Senior Advisor and CVA Montana Strategic Director released the following statement:
“Tim Sheehy has shown he understands Montana values over Washington politics. As a businessman and combat veteran, his message of authenticity resonated with Montanans and CVA Action congratulates the Sheehy campaign on a hard-fought win against Jon Tester.
For too long, Jon Tester has sided with the most progressive in his party over Montanans, including our nation’s heroes – but yesterday, Montanans, rejected the career politician and voted instead to turn the page on nearly two decades of policies that have caused a cost-of-living crisis for the Treasure State and suffering for so many veterans trapped in a broken VA system.
Concerned Veterans for America is excited for the opportunity to work alongside Tim Sheehy in the Senate to give veterans the health care choice they need, hold overreaching bureaucrats accountable, rein in reckless spending, and restore America’s strong national defense.”
