Largest veterans’ grassroots election group congratulates Moreno on U.S. Senate win
COLUMBUS, OH – Tonight, CVA Action congratulates Bernie Moreno on a resounding victory and becoming Ohio’s newest member of the U.S. Senate. CVA Action endorsed Moreno in April.
Throughout the election cycle, CVA Action contacted over half a million Ohioans about the Senate race between Bernie Moreno and Sherrod Brown. This effort began back in April, and CVA Action’s grassroots army of staff and volunteers, including veterans and military families, have been canvassing the state for Moreno to educate voters on the contrast between career politician Sherrod Brown and businessman and patriot Bernie Moreno.
Upon the race call, Ian Robinson, CVA Action Ohio Senior Advisor and CVA Ohio Strategic Director released the following statement:
“Bernie Moreno’s understanding of Ohioans’ values over Washington bureaucrats resonated with voters and CVA Action congratulates the Moreno campaign on a hard-fought win.
For too long, Sherrod Brown has sided with the most progressive in his party over Ohioans, including our nation’s heroes – but tonight, the Buckeye state rejected the career politician and voted instead to turn the page on failing policies that have caused a cost-of-living crisis in the state and suffering for so many veterans trapped in a broken VA system.
Concerned Veterans for America is excited for the opportunity to work alongside Bernie Moreno in the Senate to give veterans the health care choice they need, hold overreaching bureaucrats accountable, rein in reckless spending, and restore America’s strong national defense.”
