Veterans group highlights leadership on key veteran issues and veteran-centric focus in endorsement
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Tuesday announced its endorsement of Rep. Steve Chabot for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. The organization will employ a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots—to support his re-election in November.
CVA Action Senior Advisor in Ohio, Steve Burkhalter, had this to say about the endorsement:
“Rep. Chabot has proven to be a steady and principled voice for veterans and our families on Washington. From his support for revolutionary reforms to the VA to standing up against reckless federal spending and practices, he has demonstrated the leadership needed to maintain and preserve the freedom and prosperity we, as veterans, fought and sacrificed to defend. Rep. Chabot is the voice we need in Washington for veterans and Ohioans in his district and beyond. CVA Action is proud to endorse Rep. Chabot in his re-election bid and urge all voters in Ohio’s First Congressional District to vote for him in November.”
Chabot has been a consistent and steady voice for veterans in Washington – from expanding health care options for veterans to reforming the VA to focus on the veterans it serves. He voted for the VA MISSION Act and Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017. He has supported the streamlining and tailoring of resources to better align with the needs of veterans and the country.
Chabot has supported policies and legislation to preserve the future prosperity and viability of the country we, as veterans, fought and sacrificed to defend. He has consistently voted for legislation to curb reckless spending in Washington and rein in wasteful spending practices to unleash the ingenuity of Americans to promote and advance prosperity in our country.
