Veterans group touts Texas lawmakers’ leadership on key issues in endorsement
ARLINGTON, Va.—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Thursday endorsed Representatives Chip Roy and Van Taylor in their re-election bids. Both Roy and Taylor have shown leadership in Washington, supporting much-needed reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeking a new approach to America’s foreign policy, and working to curb reckless spending. The organization will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots—to support their re-elections ahead of their primaries in March.
In a memo addressed to interested parties, CVA Action-Texas Advisor Ben Rangel issued the following statement:
“Reps. Roy and Taylor have demonstrated a principled dedication to finding solutions to the issues facing Texas’ veterans and our country. Their steady, tested, and devoted leadership in Washington is part of what has made Texas such a welcoming home for its nearly 1.5 million veterans, including me. And now, as our nation faces new and deepening crises, Texas’ veterans and military families need champions like Reps. Chip Roy and Van Taylor to be their voice in a turbulent Washington.”
