Veterans group touts Texas lawmaker’s leadership on key issues in endorsement
ARLINGTON, Va.—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Thursday endorsed Representative Chip Roy in his re-election bid. Rep. Roy has shown leadership in Washington, supporting much-needed reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeking a new approach to America’s foreign policy, and working to curb reckless spending. The organization will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots—to support his re-election ahead of his primary in March and general election in November.
In a memo addressed to interested parties, CVA Action-Texas Advisor Ben Rangel issued the following statement:
“Rep. Roy has demonstrated a principled dedication to finding solutions to the issues facing Texas’ veterans and our country. His steady, tested, and devoted leadership in Washington is part of what has made Texas such a welcoming home for its nearly 1.5 million veterans, including me. And now, as our nation faces new and deepening crises, Texas’ veterans and military families need champions like Rep. Chip Roy to be their voice in a turbulent Washington.”
