Veterans group points to principled, unwavering leadership that honors sacrifices of Michigan veterans, military communities
ARLINGTON, Va.—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Thursday announced its endorsement of U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer for reelection to represent Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Meijer’s principled approach to and understanding of the issues facing Michigan has shone in his short time in Washington. Meijer has kept a laser focus on core issues, risen above the fray of hyperbolic partisanship, and remained true to the principles he shares with his fellow West Michiganders.
CVA Action will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots army—to support his reelection to Congress.
John Byrnes, CVA Action Senior Advisor, had this to say about the endorsement:
“Not one to shy away from a tough fight or difficult decision, Rep. Meijer has proven himself to be a relentless champion for the veteran community, a provident advocate for America’s future prosperity, and principled leader to find solutions to the problems facing Michiganders and our nation. As a business owner, he recognizes the threat posed by more than $30 trillion in debt and is fighting to rein in reckless spending practices in Washington. As a veteran, he understands the proper role of our nation’s military, the gravity of the choice to send it into harm’s way and has worked to keep American troops out of unnecessary wars.
Meijer is the dedicated, principled leader needed to help secure the freedom and liberty our nation’s veterans have fought and sacrificed to defend. He is a true representative of the people and his community, and CVA Action urges Michigan’s veterans, service members, their families, their neighbors, and all 3rd District voters to reelect Rep. Peter Meijer to represent them in Congress.”
CVA Action is dedicated to electing candidates based on their active leadership roles on top policy priorities to improve the lives of our nation’s veterans and all Americans.
