CVA Action Endorses Seven Additional Candidates Ahead of Election

Largest veterans’ grassroots election group backs leaders who will revitalize the economy, champion health care choice, and honor the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes

Arlington, Va. – Today, Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) announced a new wave of endorsements for the coming November election, making strategic plays for strengthening Congress next year by electing policy champions for veterans, military families, and all freedom-loving Americans.

CVA Action Senior Advisor John Byrnes made the following statement:

“When we hear from voters across the country at doors and over the phone, we see just how important it is to stand behind principled leaders. Veterans and military families are a key voting bloc in swing states. To secure a better future for all Americans we need leaders that will fight for a strong economy with reduced public debt, more health care choices, greater energy production, and secure borders.

Concerned Veterans for America Action believes in honoring the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes by electing candidates who will support the freedom and prosperity at home that our service members fought to defend.”

Endorsed Candidates

Tom Barrett (MI-07)

As an Army veteran of 21 years, Tom Barrett understands what kind of leadership is needed to restore accountability in Washington. As a former state senator, Barrett was a champion for Michigan taxpayers and worked hard for those seeking upward mobility. He has a record voting for commonsense policies that control government spending, promote economic growth, and create opportunities for new and better-paying jobs. He’s also worked to eliminate government rules and regulations that impose unnecessary burdens on the businesses that provide jobs and contribute to their communities.

Scott Baugh (CA-47)

As a former minority leader of the California State Assembly, Scott Baugh promises to continue to champion free market solutions that allow every American to live out their version of the American dream. He is a strong supporter of individual liberties and prosperity for all.

Rob Bresnahan (PA-08)

Owner of a local construction business, Rob Bresnahan is prepared to advocate policies that make it easier to start and grow businesses in the Keystone State, including cutting unnecessary red tape, keeping taxes low, unleashing domestic energy, and ending wasteful government spending that drives up inflation.

Alison Esposito (NY-18)

Alison Esposito is a former NYPD officer and is ready to work hard to keep Americans safe. She promises to champion economic reforms and advocate against overburdensome regulations to get our economy back on track. Esposito is a fresh voice and a proven leader that will work tirelessly to protect Americans, secure our borders, and stand up for policies that make the American Dream attainable for all, including veterans and military families.

Gabe Evans (CO-8)

Rep. Gabe Evans has a track record of serving his country and his community – he’s a twelve-year veteran of the U.S. Army and Colorado Army National Guard, a former state representative, and a former police officer. Rep. Evans understands the struggles veterans face when they return home from war. And he gets the struggles Coloradans face daily due to tax increases in their state. Rep. Evans has vowed to be an advocate in Congress to reign in Washington’s reckless spending and stop the attempts to stifle the American energy industry. Rep. Evans is the best candidate to defeat Yadira Caraveo in a general election.

Rob Mecrcuri (PA17)

State Rep. Rob Mercuri is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served two tours in Iraq. He has applied his knowledge of banking and finance to champion important regulatory and fiscal causes in Harrisburg. As soon as he was sworn into office, he made every vote count by voting for reduced government spending, simpler tax codes, and more abundant domestic energy production.

Zach Nunn (IA-03)
Rep. Zach Nunn served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly two decades and is currently a Colonel in the Iowa Air National Guard. He is a champion for smart fiscal policy that strengthens the labor market and grows our economy. Nunn is dedicated to getting our economy back on track, reducing regulatory barriers standing in the way of businesses and individuals, including veterans and military families, and unleashing American energy abundance.
