ARLINGTON, Va.—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Wednesday endorsed Senator John Cornyn and Representative Chip Roy in their re-election bids. Both Cornyn and Roy have shown leadership in Washington, supporting much-needed reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The organization will lean on a variety of tactics—including its signature grassroots—to support their re-elections ahead of November.
In a memo addressed to interested parties, CVA Action-Texas Advisor Russ Duerstine issued the following statement:
“Sen. Cornyn and Rep. Roy have demonstrated a principled dedication to working toward solutions to the issues facing Texas’ veterans and our country as a whole. Their steady, tested, and devoted leadership in Washington is part of what has made Texas such a welcoming home for its nearly 1.5 million veterans, including me. And now, as our nation faces new and deepening crises, Texas’ veterans and military families need champions like Sen. Cornyn and Rep. Roy to be their voice in a tumultuous Washington.”
