ARLINGTON, Va.—Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) on Monday announced its support for Nick Freitas, the Army veteran and two-term Delegate currently running to represent Virginia’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. CVA Action praised Freitas for his strong record advocating for policies to improve the lives of veterans and military families across the state, as well as his personal commitment to the needs of veterans in the region. The organization will leverage its full arsenal, including mobilizing its grassroots army, to support Freitas’ re-election ahead of November.
CVA Deputy Director Russ Duerstine had this to say regarding the endorsement:
“Representing Virginia, including its more than 675,000 veterans, means demonstrating a dedication to principles in the face of adversity and standing up for those who have stood up for us. As a combat veteran himself, Nick understands the challenges veterans face in getting the care they need, and his support to empower veterans with more control and options in their care is good for veterans and all residents of Virginia. Concerned Veterans for America Action is proud to stand behind Nick Freitas in his candidacy for Congress, and we look forward to working with him to break down barriers for citizens across the state of Virginia.”
